Gabriel Nixon is a guitarist and bassist that is Proficient in the styles of Flamenco guitar, Blues, jazz, among other genres. Whether you need a captivating flamenco performance, some soulful jazz melodies, or backing chords and bass for your newest track or film score, Gabriel has got you covered!!!!!!

Biography
Born and Raised in Austin, Texas, Gabriel Nixon is currently based out of Boston Massachusetts, while attending Berklee College of Music. Gabriel has played in many acclaimed settings such as South by Southwest with Dub Equis, a Reggae Dub group in Austin TX. Un Lago de Conciertos in Valencia Spain as apart of Berklee College of Music. As well as performing nationally and internationally in solo Flamenco, Jazz, or accompanying as a guitarist in countries such as Mexico, Spain, France, England, and Switzerland. He has also participated in Masterclasses and performed interviews with renowned artists such as Judith Nedderman and Diego Guerrero. As well as collaborating guitar for many underscores in Emerson/Berklee student films.

Nylon String
Gabriel Nixon has immersed himself into the art of Classical and Flamenco guitar performing in festivals such as guitarist San Antonio, performing in international venues such as Sala Matisse (Valencia, Spain) and Salon Bach (Mexico City, Mexico) As my primary, the nylon string has taken me to many countries as a accompanist, solo performer, and more!!!!!!

Electric Guitar
Originally starting on the electric guitar, Gabriel Nixon started off playing classic rock and heavy metal, before switching to the likes off Joe Pass for Solo Jazz guitar. Gabriel, while mainly a nylon string guitarist, still daily practices the electric guitar and is always available to perform, record, and collaborate for any of your musical needs!
Bassist
As one of the founding members of the Dead Houseplants, I originally got demoted to bass after playing too many jazz lines on guitar. However with the knowledge of drop two chords on the first four strings of the guitar. Gabriel is able to do absolutely anything on Bass.

Why I create
Creativity is an essential part of what it meant to be human. Whether that's art, dance, music, it connects us all. Music Specifically draws me into the world by allowing a space where I can be free and without limitations. As a musician, my goal is to bring the sounds that occur in my head throughout everyday life through the guitar and share them with the world.
